Dear Friend,
948 hours, or, 41 days. That’s the amount of time I have until I leave on my mission, and it has become apparent that somehow I have allowed Facebook, Youtube and Netflix to take over my time. Therefore, I need to start cutting myself off from such distractions, otherwise I’ll be hopelessly doomed come September 21st. So, I’ve decided to spend the time I would normally use on Social Media enjoying what time I have left with family and friend alike. Starting today, I vow to spend no more than 30 minutes a day on these time wasters. It’s time to begin enjoying the world, not just seeing it between glances at my phone.
Now, I understand that do to the majority of my time being spent at work, I need to find meaningful memories to make within short incriminates of time, anywhere from 10 minutes to a few hours, and this proves to be a challenging task, so today I will spend my time finding ideas. Someone once told me that the most meaningful memories are the shortest and simplest ones, and I intend to prove this idea unequivocally.
More to come later today...Best,
-Hunter

Sick Semi-Survival Guide
Over the weekend, I acquired a dreadful cold and I cannot stand it. I cannot sleep, or breathe or do anything for that matter. To make things worse this is the last week of school and I still have a couple Finals left. At the moment I feel as if school is a "more humane" way of population control. If I have to see another word of math I may go into a Coma.
Not only this, I have to function off of few hours of sleep, but there is a small glimmering light known as Pandora. If I did not have music, I would have already fallen into the void of sickness. Which is why I decided to write this guide for things to do while you are sick, in short, a Sick Semi-Survival Guide.
1. Drink Soda, it's a life saver.
2. Sleep, Sleep, Sleep.
3. Stay up to date on homework.
4. Don't be sheepish, if you're sick, go to a Doctor!
5. Stay entertained, depending on how you feel, you can do any of the following,
-Read a Book- I suggest: The Hunger Games, Harry Potter and/or any non-fiction book that you enjoy.
-Watch a Movie: Watch something funny, get your mind off, I suggest Hot Rod...if you are at least 15.
-Netflix: Parks & Recreation, The Office, Arrested Developement
-Youtube-Rhett & Link & Buzzfeed.
Good luck out there, and don't get sick.

Why we should be Allowed to Listen to Music
“If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music.” These words were spoken by none other than Albert Einstein. If one of the smartest men in the history of mankind believed, and thought in music, then why is music not allowed further in learning? We all listen to music while we study, in fact Scientist have proven that listening to music can give us the energy we need to learn new information. My question is: why are Students not allowed to listen to music while they are testing? Is there such little faith in humanity that we expect people are going to record answers and listen to them? There should be an app for temporarily blocking any functions on your device except one, and in this case, it would be listening to music. Afterwards, they could scan a QR Code, which puts there device back to normal and life moves on. Music has also been proven to calm anxiety and this could help abolish test anxiety and this is why I think we should be allowed to listen to music while we test.

My Philosophy for Having an Opinion
By many
of my past “friends,” I am viewed as an unrealistic, pessimistic hater, and
though it is true that I dislike many things, I have a Philosophy on having an
opinion on anything; in order to have an opinion, I must first experience it
for myself. This
includes; books, places, sports, movies, actors and TV shows and this is why I
believe that all of my opinions are valid. Even though you might not agree with
them, I have not jumped on a bandwagon or accepted other’s opinions.
So the next time you hear me talking about how I hate country and pop music, or discussing why Peeta is better than Gale in The Hunger Games, please keep in mind that I have formed these opinions through trying these things...
Now it’s time for my opinion on Entertainment in general, so if you want to find out about my top ten likes and dislikes, keep reading.

Our "Education" System
The education system causes students to not learn, ironically, and this is due to the fact that students are busy cramming useless information into their brains that has no real world use. In addition, we are graded on TURNING IN ASSIGNMENTS &TESTS. You can get an A in a class and not learn anything at all which is why I propose the following;
1. From K-9th Grade, students are exposed to a variety of topics and career options, while still learning the basics.
2. During that time, and starting in Kindergarten, students pick a second language to learn in addition to English, so students are bilingual.
3. In High School, students decide on the Career they want to pursue and take mainly courses that prepare them for that.
4. In HS, you must take real world math, science and English. The courses would teach REAL WORLD subjects that will actually be used. If students Career choice is one of those, than they would take higher levels of that subject.
5. Higher Education is still present, however, time is saved because they already know what they want to do.
6. In all grades, students are graded on knowledge gained, not homework turned in.
These are things I believe we should do.
