The thing about Girls

It's been literally MONTHS since I last wrote on this and a lot has changed; I've started eating with Chad, Ryan and Justin, I've been further bullied by a previous "friend," I got to go & meet my favorite band over break, I made it into A Capella Choir, I've had more success with French and I'm preparing for my Eagle Court of Honor...but that is not what I wish to talk about today. Today the topic I wish to talk about is; girls (no, not like that).
After an especially rough day regarding one of my female friends I came to the following conclusions about all girls;
1. They need to tell guys BEFORE HAND that they are in a Relationship. I've seen many times these past few weeks girls rejecting my friends' invites to prom. Saying "I have a boyfriend." That's a stab in the chest. They've already spent weeks planning how they'll ask you and they just blow them off.

2. The slippery line between Friend Zone and End Zone. We've all seen it or been a part of falling for our friend. You already are so close to them so logically, why not take it one step forward. While I see great benefits to this, as I learned so painfully today that believing that the other reciprocates these feeling leads to more grief than success and is by far the most painful relationship blow.

3. Girls talking about other guys around you. This is probably the most painful blow and not only if you like them er- romantically. Whether you are a friend or want to be more than that, there is nothing more painful to a guy than getting to listen to a girl talk about some other guy. This is because it makes us feel insignificant and is verbally suggesting that you like them more than us.

Ladies, please be careful how you act around us guys... you don't realize how just a simple remark such as, "He's kind of more than a friend." hurts us.

  2. Good post, I was always awkward around Girls in my teens, if I could send a message to my younger self it would be 'just be normal and don't try to put on an image, Girls like confident Boys that have a sense of purpose about them'.
    I like your comment about the Step Forward, it would have saved Awkward moments for me if Girls would have given a few clues in conversation.

  3. I agree with this post. (even though I am a girl) I think communication and relationships these days are just getting worse and worse. And this my opinion, but I don't think anyone should get into a romantic relationship until after high school. I know thats hard in this day and age, but thats what I think.
